Getting Started

Mollybot is a Discord bot built around fishing as its core loop. You catch fish, sell them for coins, and use those coins to buy better bait and equipment, which lets you catch more valuable fish. Mining and crafting feed into this by letting you forge rods with stat bonuses.

Your first coins

Run /daily to claim your first daily reward. You can claim it once every 24 hours. The reward increases with your login streak, so checking in consistently pays off.

Check your balance at any time with /balance.

Cast your first line

Run /fish cast to go fishing. Mollybot will tell you what you caught, its rarity, weight, and sell value. Your catch goes into your inventory automatically.

To sell it, run /fish sell with no arguments to sell everything in your inventory at once, or use /fish sell id:F-1 to sell a specific catch.

The core loop

1. /fish cast to catch fish
2. /fish sell to convert your catch to coins
3. /shop bait to buy better bait, which improves rarity chances
4. /mine dig and /craft rod to eventually forge rods with stat bonuses
5. Repeat with better gear

What else is there?

• Jobs (/job) give you a steady income on a cooldown timer.
• Gambling (/gamble) lets you risk coins on coinflip, slots, or roll.
• Achievements (/achievements) track your progress across all activities.
• Banners (/checkin and /banner pull) use a separate Aether currency for rare rod pulls.
