Permissions
Bot permissions
Section titled “Bot permissions”The bot requires these Discord permissions:
| Permission | Reason |
|---|---|
| Send Messages | Respond to commands |
| Embed Links | Display formatted embed responses |
| Use Application Commands | Register and receive slash commands |
| Read Message History | Required for interactive button collectors |
These are granted during the invite flow. If any are missing, some commands may fail silently or return errors.
Privileged commands
Section titled “Privileged commands”Privileged commands are hidden from members who cannot use them, so most players never see them in the command picker.
/settings and all its subcommands require the Manage Server permission. Discord hides the command from members without it and rejects any attempt to invoke it.
/admin and all its subcommands are hidden from everyone except server administrators. On top of that Discord gate, they only work for the bot operator’s configured admin list: a server administrator who is not on that list will see the command but be refused when running it. These are bot maintenance tools (granting coins or Aether, resetting cooldowns, managing banners and events), not server management tools.
All privileged command responses are ephemeral (only visible to the person who ran the command).
